Career awareness is an important piece in solving the cyber workforce shortage.
The cybersecurity workforce has the important job of protecting our online information, which includes everything from personal online accounts to matters of national security. Though the nation currently does not have enough qualified cybersecurity employees to fill the 235,000 cybersecurity openings, CYBER.ORG believes we can fill the gap starting with K-12 education. In addition foundational and technical cybersecurity knowledge and skills, students need to know what careers are available to them as they shape their education.
