Travel Grants
CYBER.ORG has a limited number of $750 travel grants available for eligible K-12 educators attending EdCon 2025. Recipients of travel grants will be able to use the funds to seek reimbursement for up to $750 of registration, airfare, and/or hotel costs.

Eligibility Requirements
You must be employed for the 25-26 school year in a K-12 institution in the United States or U.S. Territories. Employees of non-profits, other government agencies not categorized as a K-12 learning institution, for-profits, and any other individuals not employed in a K-12 setting ARE NOT eligible for travel reimbursement grants. Allowable Reimbursable Expenses
- One (1) round-trip ticket for airfare, train fare, or bus fare to the event city
- Three (3) nights of lodging at the conference hotel. Reserve your room here to book with our block rate.
- Registration fee for EdCon 25
Unallowable Reimbursable Expenses
Unallowable reimbursable expenses include but are not limited to:
- Personal vehicle use including mileage and/or gas
- Rental cars including the rental and/or gas
- Parking
- Food and/or beverages (Registration fee includes the following meals breakfast for all 3 days and lunch for day 1 and day 2.)
- Processing fees for registration
- Ride share, taxi cabs, and or bus or train to and from the airport to the hotel or your place of residence, to the conference center. (Please note this does exclude your one round-trip ticket to and from the event center.)
- Anything not explicitly listed under reimbursable expenses
Order of Preference
Travel grants will be awarded by the following order of preference until March 1, 2025, or until all eligible grants have been awarded. After March 1, any remaining travel grants will be awarded in the order they were received until all eligible grants have been awarded.
- Classroom educators and counselors who are first time travel grant recipients (have not received a travel grant since June 2022)
- Classroom educators and counselors from states and/or U.S. territories that have never been represented at a CYBER.ORG educational conference
- School administrators who are first time travel grant recipients (have not received a travel grant since June 2022)
- All other classroom educators, counselors, and school level personnel
- District level personnel (District level staff will automatically be placed on a waiting list until March 1st)
- State level personnel (State level staff will automatically be placed on a waiting list until March 1st)
Official Acceptance
To officially accept your travel grant, you must complete the following at the specified deadline. Failure to complete all requirements could result in immediate forfeiture of your travel grant.
- Sign and return your official award letter to [email protected] no later than 5 days from receiving your letter.
- Register and pay your registration fee within 10 days of receiving your award letter. Use this link to register.
- If your school is paying via PO, please contact [email protected] within 10 days of receiving your award letter to discuss these arrangements.
- Attend one of the required FAQ sessions on Travel Grant Reimbursements. You will select a date and time to attend when you receive your award letter by registering for a session with an Eventbrite link.
- Plan your travel. You must book your room at the official conference hotel. We have secured a block rate of $209/night. Please use this link to book your room.
- Attend EdCon 25. You must attend a total of 12 of the 15 hours of professional development to receive any grant funding. Attending meals, receptions, and keynotes are not required to receive the grant.
- Complete the EdCon 25 post event survey.
- On the last day of the conference, you will receive a form from [email protected]. Submit this form and your receipts within 30 days of EdCon 25.
- Late forms and receipts may result in recipients not receiving their reimbursement.
- Forms and receipts will not be accepted until EdCon 25 has officially ended.
